Jamel Thomas-Joyce is now 15 years old resident of Columbus, Ohio. He's an author, artist and illustrator. He loves sports and science almost as much as he likes to read and draw.
He wrote Jamel's Deep Sea Adventure when he was 9 years old to give other children the trip he shared one summer with his Nana in Atlanta, Georgia. He'd only imagined adventures while reading books before they had this quest of their own.
He realized he knows more about his family's history & culture than most adults. His goal is to help students who have never been to the ocean, don't have money to travel or an aquarium near by, the opportunity to learn about the sea & more practice for their annual test.
He loves to read! He wanted an activity book and we created one that he can still use today. It is layered so a child 4 will enjoy and learn vocabulary and a teen can learn vocabulary.
